I didn’t find it to be THAT bad. AC was never a top notch anime to begin with, so can’t really expect it to suddenly turn into a masterpiece. The novel is probably 10x better than the anime as it normally is with any novel-adaptations. Overall I’d probably still give it a 7, then again I’ve always been a sucker for flashbacks and previously undisclosed information.
