RideBack dropped
I don’t like to bring you bad news but someone has to. We have decided to drop RideBack, because firstly we don’t have a translator who can deliver his scripts weekly and secondly we don’t have a translation checker who can check his work. So rather then wasting our time on it, we decided to drop it. But don’t worry, there’s another good group subbing this show. So go and watch Frostii’s.
Also I like to take this oppertunity to tell you we are in need of good translators. Only thing we want from you is to deliver your translation script weekly without much delay. You are also pretty much free to decide what you want to translate.
We are also looking for dedicated translation checkers who can check the translators work as soon as possible. Or help the editors when they have a question about a certain line.

We are just having a difficult time. Hope we can recover next season. At the moment Asu no Yoichi project is also not looking good.

Hope you guys can solve the issues with Yoichi and somehow continue the project. Unlike RideBack, that series doesn’t have any other good subbers (I’d rather drop it than watch CoalGuys’ or Chihiro’s releases).

If you guys do drop Asu no Yoichi (TV), then I hope that you guys will at least do the DVD release.
But I really don’t want you guys to drop Yoichi at all. I mean that and our beloved ToraDora is all you guys are really working on now.
Maybe it’s about time AnimeYoshi starts doing joint projects? Then you guys won’t have any trouble of lacking staff members.
Are there any projects you guys are possibly doing next season?

Although I do not watch Asu no Yoichi, I agree with Hamlon that I’d rather not have only Coalguys and Chihiro working on it. That would be too tragic. Thanks a lot — looking forward to the next episode of Toradora

Ride Back looked so promising from you guys, too… I guess you gotta do what you gotta do. But do try to keep Asu no Yoichi. As asagao said, it would definately be a tragedy if those other two groups are the only ones working on it.

We will only drop toradora if it ever gets licensed, before we finish it, although we are slacking big time, and working inb4 slacking, we are very serious about finishing it, and so is the tler, so drop anisa a luvly comment and make her realize how grateful u guys are for her translations.
since she already knows how the staff working with her already enjoys the show, and enjoys her nice translations

At the very least, I hope ToraDora is finished.
I would also (at least) like to see you guys release Asu no Yoichi (DVD), if you can’t do the TV release.

There is DreamSubs who are far better than the two you mentioned……but there status is also like AniYoshi’s at the moment :\

Experience has taught me to be skeptical towards new groups that releases a few episodes then stalls a series (like Dream are doing with Yoichi). Not to mention that while they are certainly a better option than Coal & Chihiro, their releases aren’t nearly as good as AniYoshi’s.
Well, whatever… I guess none of this matters if it’s staffing issues that’s stalling Yoichi.

The problem is translation.
If we can’t get translations for Asu no Yoichi TV, chances are we won’t be able to do the DVD versions.
Ga Rei Zero DVDs are still on, so don’t worry about them.

Hey, Anisa… You rock my world with your awesome translation skillz of doom! Seriously, I appreciate your work (and the work of the rest of the AY crew — when the do work).
BTW, very cool of you guys to to direct leechers towards Frostii (I was a big fan of Ureshii’s work, and am glad that they’re continuing through Frostii).

Unfortunately, we had to. The translator just wasn’t dedicated enough to complete the project. So, instead of waiting and waiting, we just decided to drop it. After all, Frostii is doing it too.
