Some people prefer high quality releases. I do because I don’t lose as much video quality when converting to iPod. It doesn’t hurt that I have a massive hard drive as well.

Nice reference to coalguys. I like their fansubs, but when AniYoshi releases a higher quality translation, even if it is a bit later, I replace them.

I hope you’re joking. I mean it’s fine if you personally think that AnimeYoshi doesn’t do as good of a job with a fansub. It doesn’t mean you have to bring up any other groups’ releases. If you don’t like AnimeYoshi, then just don’t get their releases. Personally, I like the quality that AnimeYoshi produces with their fansubs.

Ok. Then I guess it’s back off to hunting for a group that is doing high quality release for Akikan!.
I’ve seen episode 01 raw and it seems like a decent story. But I’m not too sure if it’ll be worth watching as Asu and Regios are being done by you, and also because there are so many series that I’m currently watching.

If Asu and Regios are active, then it would have been nice to see like a “status report” type of post to confirm that it is active and at least something has been done with it (i.e. like have the RAW file, working on script, etc).
Or you guys could at least put a slot for them under the PROJECTS page, under the ONGOING section.

Also, it seems that you just have a ton of free time to go around watching those 24 (if I counted correctly) anime series. I hope you are able to spare that time to watch all of those episodes because most people tend to be a bit more busy or rather spend time doing something else like studying, be working at their job, spending time with family, spend time with girlfriend/boyfriend, go hang out with some friends, etc.
With that said, I certainly hope that you’re not the time of l33cher who sits around in front of the computer all day (literally) without ever getting up to take a break, and constantly checks up on torrent trackers to see if your releases have been made.

I had a minor epiphany regarding trolling: being trolled is a good sign! It means you’re good — or possibly fast, but clearly that doesn’t apply here — enough that it made someone feel insecure about their own performance. As a bonus, it also suggests that the troller doesn’t know how/isn’t willing to channel those feelings into improving their own work.
It’s probably a corollary to my mental rule, “if you need to say you’re you probably aren’t” : “if you’re saying nasty things about the competition, the opposite is probably true.”
Incidentally, that maxim is why I campaigned to get the “quality” removed from the group tag.

Unfortunately the road to releases varies from project to project. I do recall times where it just gets stalled at QC for ages; normally, it’s TL stalled cause translators have lives too.

Hey All
why is it that the Fansub groups Havn´t made any AVI files of any the Episodes of Toradora after Episode 11?
i personaly think that MKV files just have problems with them because they won´t work well play by VLC and i have try the play ppl say that should work but to much work and troble need to just be able to watch the files. so i hop that atleast some fan sub group will make the Episodes has AVI also for those how don´t have the knowledge to make AVI files or doesn´t whan´t to watch them without having error all the time!

Do yourself a favor and get a better media player. VLC uses its own internal filters that can’t properly read .SSA/.ASS files.

We’ve had several translators in the past that went MIA for reasons that were not clear (the “we have lives” thingy is the most probable reason). Anyway, we hope that you’ll continue to translate with us, or at least finish Toradora.

When the guys is cheering on Taiga saying she’s the best, that part doesn’t show up on time.

…when will there be more Toradora!? I don’t mean to be a bother, but other fansubs are around ep. 19… but the others just don’t do as good of a job as you do!
