Obama as the new President of the US is old news buddy.
What do I think? I think it’s great. I have high hopes for Barack as, well, the Republicans really did mess up the country over the past 8 years.

But I basically asked this time because you made one for A+L, so I thought it would’ve been “appropriate” to do a status update on all the projects you guys are currently working on.
I’m sure that’d prevent any crazy l33chers from coming here and posting a comment about it. If the status updates for all your projects were posted, then that’d prevent it.
I dunno.
I had good intentions, but it looks like you guys didn’t feel that way.

I haven’t be into actual fansubbing, but I know how tedious a task the whole process is from raw capture, TL, TC, timing, ED, TS, QC, encoding, and distro – now you’ve a brief overview of what’s really going on backstage. That doesn’t even include all others like karaoke, insert songs, logo, etc. So, think twice before you throw in your where’s-my-episode rant. YES, it’s a rant in disguise.
As far as “status updates” go, l33chers like you (and me) does NOT have any right at all to check how AniYoshi (or any fansub) is progressing with their projects. Actually, fansubs aren’t even obliged to post status updates.
They do this shit for free, so bring your whining elsewhere.

I personally did not like EITHER major candidate in the presidential race. As Kathy025 said the fact Obama won shows that their is racial equality here (although there are some intolerant individuals) but I wish his political views were less socialist than they are. I even thought McCain was too liberal in some areas.
@Suiton – You said that republicans have really messed up over the past 8 years but the Senate has been about 50/50 and the House has had a democratic majority (in other words if the democrats wanted to pass or block they did not NEED a SINGLE republican vote to due to so). The democrats along held enough seats to make it pass even if all of the republicans were against it. While I am NOT clearing Bush of all the blame he, and the republicans by extention, are not the only ones to blame. The republicans failed in the person of Bush and the democrats failed us in the House. Either alone (in this case) could not have done it without the help/support of the other.
I consider myself an independant. I do not care what party a particular candidate is in. I care about their position. This may make it seem that I am republican but I have voted democratic before and I am sure I will again. Just so you know, I am 25 and have participated in both elections I was eligable for. I voted for some democrats in both elections.
Also I like this groups work a great deal and thank you for it. As far as status’ go, I think they are nice BUT if a group has a reputation for letting people know if the drop a project as this and other groups do, I think they are not needed. As Kathy025 said, they do this for free and they do a great job.
I don’t post very often so I thought I better say everything at once.
