Allison & Lillia 17 & 18
Sorry for the delayed post. I accidentally stripped Spinal off of his privileges, thus he wasn’t able to post.
Anyway, AnimeYoshi proudly presents episode 17 & 18 of Allison & Lillia! We hope that our viewers are still following our subs because another speedsubber has released several episodes of AtL. Statistics show, however, that some viewers just don’t care; they watch whoever releases first, and that kind of saddens me. Okay, enough of my blabbering.
To those who haven’t watched 17 & 18 yet (big thanks!), these two episodes pretty much continue where 16 left off. The seaplane is still in danger of being shot down by the bad guys. Anyway, you should just go ahead and download it to see for yourself.
Enjoy!

On another note, barring any staff difficulties, the following are the projects we will be picking up for the fall season:
- ToraDora!
- Michiko to Hatchin
- Mouryou no Kou

Sorry, I’m one of those people who watched the speedsubs! I just couldn’t wait for my A&L fix, although I wish I had.
September 30th, 2008 at 8:26 pm
I am waiting for AnimeYoshi to finish up the entire series before I continue off from episode 15. I am proud to say that I waited for AniYoshi’s release. I will be looking forward to ToraDora since you guys are doing it, m33w won’t do it ^^
September 30th, 2008 at 8:26 pm
i also watched the speedsubs, but you must understand! it had been nigh on a month! but i’ll gladly pick up where you guys left off
makes my AtL folder much neater
September 30th, 2008 at 8:45 pm
I definitely waited for your releases, and I’d have to say it’s worth it. Thanks!
September 30th, 2008 at 8:48 pm
OMFG Thank you guys.
Yeah, I could never switch to another subber. It bothers me to switch. I would have to download every episode from the other subber, and then get used to their style. I’d rather be patient than annoyed.
September 30th, 2008 at 9:32 pm
nah i was tempted but im a Qcer from another fansubber so i prefer quality over quantity. Anyway i don’t care for Anonymous Speed Subs work
September 30th, 2008 at 9:39 pm
I’ve been waiting for this, by far one of my favorite current shows! I can’t wait to see toradora! either, palm top tiger ftw!
September 30th, 2008 at 10:09 pm
cool, thanks again for the subs!
September 30th, 2008 at 10:32 pm
No need to get defensive. Even if we do watch the speedsubs, that doesn’t mean we don’t archive yours.
Rest assured, you’re still very much in demand and we look forward to your releases whenever they may be.
BTW, thanks for picking up Michiko to Hatchin and Mouryou no Kou. I have high expectations for both of them (especially the former).

Thanks for the encouragement, Anonymous
September 30th, 2008 at 11:22 pm
thanks for the releases!!!
cant wait to watch them!
September 30th, 2008 at 11:27 pm
Thanks for the release, I only watch speedsubs only if I lost hope that the series will be completed in a reasonable amount of time from a decent group. So no, I haven’t seen 17 and 18 yet!
October 1st, 2008 at 12:17 am
Thanks for more Allison to Lillia.
Also looking forward to Toradora! & Mouryou no Kou.

Good job!
You guys finally released something.
I’ve been considering to watch this series. It seems popular enough and AnimeYoshi usually does an excellent job with fansubs.

I waited. Keep them coming!
October 1st, 2008 at 6:05 am
Thanks for the release, was worth the wait. Quality always matters most.
October 1st, 2008 at 8:29 am
Ah?!
You guys are planning on ToraDora!, eh? That was one of the series that I was considering to watch.
Hm.
Glad to know that AnimeYoshi is doing it. Hopefully you guys won’t drop it.
October 1st, 2008 at 9:25 am
Many thanks, I generally stick to one fansub group per serie so I haven’t watched them yet, thanks again.

I agree with Anonymous, I personally am archiving AnimeYoshi’s Allison to Lillia releases, however I did go and watch all of the releases that Anonymous Speed Subs have put out (and will watch the last episode too). This because I wish to finish up the series for the next season so that I can pick up a new show.
I thank you, AnimeYoshi, for your new picks, ToraDora! and Mouryou no Kou, for I’m interested in both, and will try both. And now I know where I can get them subbed.
Again, don’t worry, your quality is preferred.

Another vote for quality over speed here, having tried one of the speed-subs — I’ll keep those just for insurance (like I did with Simoun, when the best group for that took a long pause at episode 17), but expect to watch the real deal as it arrives.
October 1st, 2008 at 1:42 pm
Nice that suiton is back and already talking about dropping.
We are only human after all and yea I think people can understand why we dropped suddenly 4 projects (lack of staff most of the reason). But anyway we are prepared again for this new season and will do 4 new projects, 1 will be secret and will be revealed I guess when we release. So as founder of animeyoshi I hope we get a good start this new season.

Hey Spinal!
It’s been a while, eh?
=D
Anyway, ToraDora! apparently aired.
For those interested in some screens, please go to:

(FYI, this is a great site/blog for many new anime series).
By the way, Spinal.
Secret Project?!
>_<
I wonder what it could be~
October 1st, 2008 at 7:18 pm
Toradora! Yay! I hope you guys do the same good work you’re doing with A&L.
October 2nd, 2008 at 3:43 am
Hm…could that secret project be the new series “Hyakko”?
It seems like something AnimeYoshi might do.
=D
October 2nd, 2008 at 5:44 am
Even I don’t know what the secret project could be
October 2nd, 2008 at 1:45 pm
Yay, finally!
Thank you very much.
As long as you do not drop it I will not switch subber…
October 2nd, 2008 at 1:52 pm
@Spinal
How is that even possible? I thought you were staff. Shouldn’t you know at least what your group is planning on working on?
o_O
October 2nd, 2008 at 7:47 pm
Only idiots watch speedsubs when they know a quality group is subbing. The only way I’d switch over is if I knew the quality group had dropped that project.
Also, aw, I figured AniYoshi would have picked up Yozakura Quartet.
That show looks like it would have went well with this group. Looking forward to Mouryou though!
October 2nd, 2008 at 11:56 pm
Oh yeah! We all know AniYoshi is the -only- group to get Allison and Lillia from.
Looking forward to Toradora from you guys as well. Keep up the great work.
October 3rd, 2008 at 3:51 am
@suiton its just that the translator hasn’t decided yet what to do.
October 3rd, 2008 at 5:24 am
Yay Toradora!
Don’t worry, I may dl a speedsub but it’s only as insurance while I’m waiting for a quality release. I delete speed versions when the quality subs come out and watch once I have a whole series. I just want to ensure I have it all in case a project is dropped.
I’m looking forward to watching AtL eventually.
October 3rd, 2008 at 8:09 am
@Spinal
Thanks for clearing that up.
I’d love to see you guys do Hyakko. That series looks pretty good…
October 5th, 2008 at 4:30 pm
I have downloaded the speedsub, but look forward to your translation. The speedsub is a stop-gap in case the series is licensed before you can complete it. Thanks for the good work.
October 5th, 2008 at 10:25 pm
Thanks for your hard work
.
I waited for your releases.
October 6th, 2008 at 1:50 pm
I don’t wait but then I go back to rewatch yours when they get put up on Veoh or Youtube. I suppose that counts for something? Anyways, thanks so much for sticking with this great show. Your subs are definitely superior. The other guys keep translating shou-san (which if I’m correct means something like major or general) to Shio-san or Shultz-san like it’s a name! X.x;;
October 8th, 2008 at 4:18 am
thank you very much for the releases , i am waiting until you complete all the episodes then i will watch it …
keep up the good work because many people appreciate it
October 8th, 2008 at 5:41 am
Ah, fantastic. I’d been looking at the site many times a day, hoping for updates and avoided watching the speedsubs — especially after hearing of their quality. Honestly, I don’t wind up using the video from you guys in the end, I just greatly prefer the translations. I demux the subs and watch them along with the 720p raws using MPC (I am a quality whore) and wind up watching those. You should think about 720p releases in the future
Oh, and if you’re wondering, that’s for personal use. I don’t re-upload them or anything.
